The Curator - Lori Moyer

Lori grew up in State College and graduated from Penn State with a degree in Management '89 and earned her GIA Graduate Gemologist degree. Following her father and grandfather's footsteps into the family business, Lori stared working at Moyer Jewelers in high school going on to manage and then successfully own until closing the store in 2018. Enjoying a more personal and one-on-one approach to jewelry, Lori started L. Moyer Designs to continue offering quality jewelry to the State College community and beyond. Lori is a passionate and knowledgeable curator of gems and jewelry, bringing years of expertise and a keen eye of exceptional craftsmanship. With a deep understanding of gemstones, their origins, and their unique qualities, she hand-selects each piece with precision and care.

The Creator - Jamie Bauman 

Jamie is a fourth generation Penn Stater who grew up knowing she would be a Nittany Lion. Jamie's father played football at PSU for legendary head coach Joe Paterno, and Jamie marched on the same field as a member of the Penn State Blue Band. After earning a Bachelor of Fines Arts Degree '05. Jamie stayed in State College and began her career as an apprentice to a master goldsmith. A few years later, she became a goldsmith at Moyer Jewelers. After 8 years she stepped away to start a family and her own business. Jamie and Lori continued their relationship working closely with Lori at L. Moyer Designs. Jamie has 20 years of experience crafting unique and custom pieces in the State College community.
